We are a community of Stanford undergraduates passionate about affecting social change through policy objectives. Our diverse backgrounds and passions allow us to tackle policy challenges from a variety of unique perspectives.

Richa Upadhyay

Co-President

Richa is a senior majoring in public policy and data science on the healthcare track. She is passionate about health and tech policy. Specifically, she is exploring how loopholes in health systems enable fraudulent behavior - an important area providers can target to cut costs without reducing care quality. Outside of policy, she loves to dance, try new foods, and listen to true crime podcasts.

Aaliyah Webster

Co-President

Aaliyah is a rising senior majoring in sociology on the data, markets, and management track. She is primarily interested in policy regarding the carceral system and would love to work on advancing alternatives to incarceration. Outside of classes she likes learning about music production and neurobiology.

Ethan Tiao

Chair of Project and Client Management

Ethan is senior majoring in Economics and Computer Science at Stanford University. He is passionate about leveraging data to inform decision-making, especially in the policy and social impact sphere. In his free time, Ethan loves to play soccer, read science fiction, and root for the Green Bay Packers.

Financial Officer

Nolawi is a senior studying Symbolic Systems with a minor in Political Science. His interests are in tech and education policy. He loves talking about almost any sport (D.C. teams are his favorites), playing basketball and football, drawing, and watching TV shows (currently rewatching the Legend of Korra).

Ava Acevedo

Associate Financial Officer

Ava is a sophomore from Stockton and Lodi, CA potentially majoring in public policy with a minor in data science. She is hopes to tackle climate change and build grassroots power from students and communities to affect change. In her free time, she loves hanging out with family and friends, taking her pups on long walks, watching cartoons with her sister, and playing ukulele and guitar.

Hannie is a sophomore with potentially majoring in Economics. Her policy interests include reducing economic and educational inequalities. In her free time, she loves reading, traveling, dancing, doing Chinese calligraphy and laughing with friends.

Nilou Davis

Co-Chair of Recruitment and Community Development

Nilou is a junior from London majoring in Political Science and History. She spent the summer working at a judicial reform NGO in Indonesia addressing torture, plea bargain, and GBV issues. She is passionate about issues of governance, migration, and gender equity issues. She loves to make pottery, thrift, rock climb, and read.

Angel Manuel De Dios

Co-chair of Recruitment and Community Development

Angel is a sophomore studying Urban Studies under the Urban Society and Social Change focus and Comparative Race and Ethnicity Studies. They are from Mexicali, Baja California, México and Calexico, California. Their policy interests include: borderlands policy, environmental policy, racial and ethnic policies, inequality policies, urban planning policies, public health, and far more. They are hoping to go into law to fight against injustice. For fun, they weight lift, go out with fiends, write poetry, listen to music, and try out new foods.

Adri is a sophomore studying STS! He is interested in environmental and energy policy with a lens towards environmental justice and energy equity. He spent this summer working on environmental justice policy in minnesota. In his free time he loves hiking, thrifting, and playing soccer.

Christine is a sophomore planning to major in Political Science and Comparative Studies in Race and Ethnicity. She am interested in policies related to ending mass incarceration, gun violence prevention, migration, and environmental justice. In her free time, she loves to hang out with friends and try new foods.

Graham is a Sophomore majoring in Econ and History from Birmingham, Alabama. He is interested in housing policy, anti-sexual violence policy, and general identity-related policy. For fun, he listens to music, play video games, work out, skate, and do research on clothing.

Yana is a sophomore interested in urban studies and data science. Her policy interests include urban development, environmental justice, and housing/planning policy. In her free time you can find her filming silly little montage videos, reading simone de beauvoir, or singing along to Lizzy Mcalpine and boygenius on her guitar.

Caroline is a sophomore potentially double majoring in economics and environmental systems engineering. She is interested in policy areas related to clean energy and environmental justice (all the e's!). She is a big fan of farming, spending too much money on caffeinated beverages, and taking very long walks where time/space don't matter anymore.

Tiya is a sophomore from Malaysia studying Sociology, Psychology and Human Rights. She is interested in exploring how inclusive policymaking can help build shared power and improve social cohesion, especially in diverse societies. In her free time, she loves traveling, listening to music and photographing nature.

Miriam is a sophomore majoring in Earth Systems from Los Angeles, CA. Her policy interests are in human rights advocacy, especially immigrant and refugee rights, and environmental justice. In her free time, she enjoys going on hikes, writing short stories, and enjoying herbal tea and K-dramas.

Amsal is a rising sophomore at Stanford double majoring in Economics and Data Science, with a Brains and Behavior specialization. His academic interests revolve around the fields of finance and politics, particularly exploring their intersection with behavioral finance. In his free time, he enjoys everything basketball and is a movie fanatic, constantly seeking out new films.

Her policy interests include immigration, affordable housing availability, equitable uses of land and resources, city planning, distributions of taxes and wealth within cities and government, along with equitable electrification transitions. In her free time, she looks at home designs, watches South Park, makes Christmas edits on TikTok, and works out.
